CIMCIG presents 'Flashforward'

The 'Flashforward' Construction Forecast Conference is due to take place at the Manchester Conference Centre on 21 April 2010. Hosted by CIMCIG, it will focus on the prospects for growth within the construction industry in the North of England.

The Flashforward Conference and networking event will also cover issues such as the geographical differences across northern England and the north-south divide. It features a chartered CPD programme.

CIMCIG Chair Ian Exall, comments, "With the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the next election and prospects for economic growth, the Flashforward conference will present a broad macro-economic outline, highlighting the current drivers and pressures within the construction market in this strategically important area of the country."

The conference will present industry perspectives from the public sector and selected client organisations. Speakers include: Sir Howard Bernstein, chief executive of Manchester City Council; Phil Wakefield, managing director of Carillion Building North: Nigel Brook, managing director of Kier North West; and David Partridge, joint chief executive of Argent Group.

Ian adds, "The aim is for delegates to leave the Flashforward conference with an increased understanding of the construction market in the north, and the opportunities and threats which exist."
