The UK's leading online workspace for specifiers is about to get even better, with knock-on effects that will benefit all marketers. While some of the finer detail still has to be agreed, we can lift the lid on some of the goodies heading your way.
ribaproductselector.com provides 24/7 access to construction industry professionals searching for product catalogues, specification information, contact details and CPD material, and acts as a centralised conduit for the research and selection of building products and services. It attracts an average of over 220,000 visitors* each month.
Although the site has always been the subject of ongoing upgrades the changes planned for March of this year represent a quantum leap forward. The Home page is set to undergo a transformation, as is the ease with which the whole site can be navigated. New CI/SfB category landing pages will feature relevant editorial content, further improving their page rank on Google (and the performance of all product pages to which they link). Specifiers and manufacturers will be delighted by the facility to publish CAD documents, while the latter will also be able to update their own information without having to send it to us first, resulting in far quicker turnaround times.
Other highlights include regularly updated featured content and case studies (offering clients even greater exposure), and an upgraded 'faceted search menu', which will allow users to search by keyword or search string and then filter the results by different categories, such as document type. All search results will be presented on a new page showing the various types of content available.
Finally, updated company pages will have more information than ever, including image galleries, abstracts (brief descriptions of downloadable product literature), regional office addresses and 'deep links' to technical information.
