RIBA Insight Consultancy Day - final call!
RIBA assessment coordinator and the editor of the RIBA CPD Showcase will be offering a truly unique insight into how to create CPD materials. An NBS Technical author and Customer Liaison Coordinator will be sharing their expertise in how to make NBS work for your business as part of the RIBA Insight Consultancy Days workshops in Manchester and London on 18 and 25 October 2011.
152 delegates have already confirmed their places so we have 23 places remaining (the event was fully booked last year). There are only 7 places left for the London event and 16 places remain for the Manchester Consultancy Day.

‘Making NBS product specifications work for your business’ workshop
Keith Brownsword and Lynda Thompson from the NBS will be divulging sound tips and guidance for manufacturers to get the best out of the NBS specification software. The various specification types and how the specifier will select your products will be discussed.
Delegates opting for the product specification workshop will also gain an understanding of substitution.
The specification experts will also provide ways to improve your content on the NBS system to ensure the specifier selects your products.
Both RIBA Consultancy Days will share the same agenda, including presentations on Building Information Modelling (BIM), CPD viewed from an architect’s point of view, and how social media can be harnessed to generate leads. The presentations will be followed by two workshops, on ‘Making NBS product specifications work for your business’, and ‘Creating and delivering successful CPD’.
‘Creating and delivering successful CPD’ workshop
RIBA’s own CPD Assessment Coordinator Julia Hall will be sharing a platform with the editor of the RIBA CPD Showcase, Andy Sivell, to give their own perspective and guidance on how to get the most from your CPD offering.
Julia will cover best practice in the development of CPD material, highlighting examples of the potential opportunities and pitfalls. Using practical activities her session will cover creating relevant CPD material, RIBA CPD assessment and accreditation and delivering CPD to architects.
Andy will use live examples to provide some good – and some less than good – illustrations of how to promote CPD to others. Topics covered will include promoting CPD online, case study imagery, and using existing (and often free) communications channels to best effect.
Packed with practical tips and case studies both speakers are well-placed to offer an eye-opening take on how others see you.
Both events are free to all RIBA Insight customers with annual subscriptions (excluding those with only a standard listing on www.ribaproductselector.com).
