Ecobuild your CPD credentials

RIBA’s large presence at Ecobuild in March this year provides RIBA CPD Providers Network members with a commanding platform from which to demonstrate their own environmental credentials.

Ecobuild is of course the world’s largest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment, and the UK’s largest construction event of any kind. Over 55,000 visitors attended the 2011 show, among them some of the most influential organisations and individuals, responsible for some of the biggest construction projects in the UK and beyond.

RIBA at Ecobuild 2012

RIBA will have a large central presence at Ecobuild 2012, with an exhibition area spanning 420 square metres. An unprecedented number of construction professionals are expected to be drawn to the RIBA ‘village’ and its many interactive displays, featuring information on RIBA Bookshops, RIBA Product Selector, RIBA Appointments, RIBA CPD and NBS.

Now RIBA CPD Providers Network members have the opportunity to present their own RIBA-approved CPD material in the many free-to-attend seminars scheduled throughout each day. The seminars will be held in dedicated rooms in the South Gallery, near to the entrance to the venue. In addition to the huge audience attracted by Ecobuild itself, both the Providers and their CPD seminars will be heavily promoted in the run-up to the show via targeted communications from RIBA Insight. Due to overwhelming demand, each Provider will be limited to three slots across the event.

Sustainability and ‘green’ building practices are among the most popular CPD topics accessed by visitors to RIBA websites. Typical areas of interest include regulatory changes, product details and technical information. RIBA CPD seminars are universally recognised by architects, engineers and other construction specifiers as providing unique insight into industry best practice and current thinking – particularly important in a field as fast moving and innovative as sustainability.

Access to seminar slots at Ecobuild is just one of the many benefits exclusively available to members of the RIBA CPD Providers Network. The Network is made up of manufacturers, advisory organisations, training companies and suppliers to the construction industry who all share a commitment to raising standards. All RIBA CPD Providers Network materials are rigorously assessed by RIBA prior to approval and use.
