More useful updates for NBS National BIM Library
NBS has announced another round of improvements to the NBS National BIM Library website, many coming as a direct result of user feedback. All changes have been designed to make navigating and using the website quicker and easier.
Improvements to image loading times now means that pages load faster. The technical support team has also introduced a range of incremental improvements throughout the site, designed to further optimise loading times. This work is ongoing.
Manufacturers' home pages
Contact details on manufacturers' NBS National BIM Library home pages have been repositioned to further encourage click-throughs.
BIM object formats
The site will now remember users' choice of BIM object format, allowing them to download objects in fewer clicks within the same session.
Additional meta data fields can now be populated at the BIM object publishing stage that will allow users to locate your products with information that is not included on the site itself. This could include product codes/SKU numbers, technical keywords or other content that does not appear on the site.
Social media sharing
To help drive more visits to your manufacturer home page and to your individual product pages information can now be easily shared by users using social media or email via the icon links.
Terms & Conditions
The Terms & Conditions on the NBS National BIM Library website have been updated to cover all RIBA Enterprises websites.
